Introducing The DVD Shelf Mini Reviews!

I hope you’ve all been enjoying my first 13 episodes of The DVD Shelf Movie Reviews so far.  It’s been a blast making them, but I do realize that they tend to run a bit long.  20-30 minutes can be an eternity when it comes to sitting at your computer watching an internet show.  So, for those of you without much time to spare, welcome to The DVD Shelf Mini Reviews, where I review a movie’s DVD or Blu-Ray in just 90 seconds.  In this premiere episode, I won’t be reviewing a movie, but I will be taking 90 seconds to give a little introduction to my new series, then I’ll begin reviewing films starting with episode 2.  Don’t worry, though, because my next full-length DVD Shelf Movie Review is also on its way!

And don't forget to hit the HD button on the video player!  (You’ll need it)

The DVD Shelf Movie Reviews: They Live

"I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all outta bubblegum."

In this episode of The DVD Shelf Movie Reviews, we’ll be pulling John Carpenter’s They Live off the shelf, an extremely underrated sci-fi horror film from 1988 starring “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. We’ll take a look at the extensive career of John Carpenter, the Master of Horror, focusing on the creation of They Live and the legacy it’s left on pop culture. Then I’ll discuss why I recommend the film to all of you.
