In the monumental twentieth episode of The DVD Shelf Movie Reviews, we'll celebrate the lighter side of The Dark Knight by delving deep into the 1966 Batman movie starring Adam West and Burt Ward as the Dynamic Duo. One can't do this film justice though without giving full insight into the classic TV series that the film was tied in with and to fully appreciate this more comedic take on Batman and Robin, I'll also discuss the dire state of comic books at that time and why such a lampoon was culturally necessary. I'll then reveal some additional DVD titles that no '60s Bat-fan should be without. We probably wouldn't have the Batman we know and love today if it wasn't for this TV show and movie, so sit back and enjoy the full (and long) story behind the phenomenon that made Batman a pop culture staple.
